In 1898, noted turn of the century architect, William Rantoul was commissioned by Charles Goodnough and Ann Proctor Rice of Boston to build a grand home in Ipswich, Massachusetts. There they would raise their children and entertain their family and friends. An extensive tour of Europe's historic castles and manors provided that the Rice's and Mr.Rantoul with the exquisite vision and inspiration that you will find while visiting Turner Hill. Completed in 1903, the mansion boasts plaster hand-molded ceilings, vivid wall friezes, gleaming oak hardwood floors, hand-carved paneling, doors and stairways.
